The Mary from Murroe Festival is being held Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th August 2010. We hope it will be as much fun this year as it was last year! The presentation and selection of Mary from Murroe will be in a marquee in Crokers’ carpark. This year we will be joined by some visitors from Evry Gregy, our Twin town in France.

5.00 Children’s play area opens
7.30 Parade
8.00 Opening of Mary from Murroe and meet the Marys!
9.00 Live Music
Saturday 28th August
9.45 registration for 5km fun run
11.00 5km run or walk.
2.00 Children’s sports – Harty Park also Pitch and Putt competition
2.00 Street Bazaar
4.00 Adult Sports – Sheaf throwing, tug of war etc. Harty Park
7.30 Live interviews with the contestants
9.30 Winner announced followed by live music.
As part of the fundraiser for the playground, the Parents’ Council of Murroe School will be holding a cake sale on Saturday morning the 28th.This is to coincide with the 5k walk/run and the sports day in Harty Park. There will also be tea/coffee for sale.
