Craft and Hobby Exhibition
Saturday 12th February , 10am-4pm
Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe

At the craft and hobby exhibition, people from the local community will display a variety of items which they have made, including knitting, metalwork, crochet, flower arranging and woodwork. We welcome you to visit the hall during the day to view exhibits. Interested in exhibiting?
Do you make crafts? Have you an interesting hobby? Did you make something at school? Or for State Examinations? Will you display one item at the Craft and Hobby Exhibition? Current exhibits include: Knitting, Embroidery, Painting, Woodwork, Coin Collection, Technical Graphics, Card Making, Flower Arrangements, Metalwork

Art Competition and Exhibition – Primary School Children
Saturday 12th February , 10am-4pm
Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe
We are holding an art competition for primary school children based on the theme ‘Murroe-Boher through your eyes’. Children are asked to bring their pictures to the hall on Saturday morning from 9-11am where they will be displayed. Following judging, prizes will be presented at the song and dance performance (5-6pm) on Saturday afternoon. All submitted pictures should be on size A4 paper.

Interactive Demonstrations
Saturday 12th February
Muintir na Tíre Hall, Murroe
People are welcome to come along at any time to the interactive demonstrations to learn about crafts and hobbies. You will be able to ask questions, be shown how to do some of the skills and participate in the sessions if you wish.

Fitzgerald Room
11-12am: DIY -erecting shelves and curtain rails, using a spirit level, wiring a plug etc.
12-1.30pm: Wool and Thread – casting on and off stitches, knitting, sewing hems and badges, crochet, left-handed knitting etc.
2-3.30pm: Coins and Calligraphy – learn more about the hobby of coin collecting, how to do calligraphy.

Outside Hall
12-4pm: MOG car – this is a unique session on car maintenance and mechanics, using the specially modified MOG car. Each demonstration will be 15 minutes long.
