Following a very successful trial run of opening the church to welcome our friends and neighbours to visit and have a cup of tea between 2.00p.m. to 4.00p.m. on five Sundays in the Summer of 2010, it has been decided to do the same in 2011. One slight difference this year is that the opening dates will extend into Heritage Week at the end of August.
Those interested in the history of the building or in tracing aspects of local history will be most welcome to come and have a relaxing couple of hours and enjoy some refreshments in the Parish Room as well. There is no charge for the visit but we will ask for a donation to cover the cost of the refreshments.
Last year we were delighted to welcome a direct descendant of the first recorded Rector who served the parish in the 1600s!
Come along – you never know who you might meet or what you might find out. Everybody is welcome.
