Disco in aid of U14 Féile girls

Murroe-Boher Camogie will be holding a Disco this Friday, the 24th, in Muintir na Tire Hall, Murroe, from 8pm-10pm in aid of their Féile team. Admission is €5. Boys and girls aged between 10-16 years are welcome. Spread the word to everyone, the more the merrier.

All roads lead to Ahane this Saturday, the 18th, where Murroe/Boher take on Na Piarsaigh in the league final, thrown-in at 5pm. We would like to wish all the girls and the management the very best of luck in the final. We would encourage you all to come along and show your support for your parish. Best of luck girls.

Update on recent camogie matches

A huge congratulations to our Intermedaties who qualified for the league final after a fantastic league semi-final win last Saturday, beating Ballybrown on a score-line of 6-8 to 1-4. It was a great display by all the girls and they fought hard from the word go and never let Ballybrown get an inch all through the game. We got an ideal start when we scored a goal after 2minutes and added five more goals before the break, to leave us in a great position for the second half. We keep the pressure on Ballybrown again in the second half and never gave them a chance to get on top of us. We were delighted when the final whistle came as it was a well deserved victory and the girls deserved it. Panel for the game was: Aine Fogarty, Helena Hayes, Anne O’Connor, Fiona O’Malley, Ruth O’Connor, Mary Ryan, Catherine McCormack, Fiona Toomey, Michelle Norris, Mairead O’Brien (1-0), Catriona Laffan (0-4), Niamh Richardson (2-4), Caroline Hickey (2-0), Eleanor Murnane, Aisling Regan (1-0). Subs: Lisa Ryan for Caroline Hickey, Amy Lynch for Mairead O’Brien, Laura Keays for Eleanor Murnane, Ruth Fitzgearld for Aisling Regan, Orla Holmes, Emer Richardson and Mary O’Connor. The league final is fixed for Saturday, the 18th, against Na Piarsaigh at 5pm, venue yet to be confirmed. Please check out our facebook page for venue. Also well done to our u14s who qualified for the league quarter final after beating Galbally last Tuesday on a score line of 8-2 to 2-1. They played extremely well throughout the whole game and are improving greatly with ever match they play. They take on Causeway, of Kerry, this Tuesday in the quarter final.

Camogie clothes collection success

Oh behalf of the Murroe/Boher Camogie club, we would like to thank everyone who kindly gave us their unwanted clothes, shoes, bed linen, bags etc for our recent clothes collection for our Feile team. The money raised will go along way in preparing our team for Feile.
Due to its success, we have decided to continue to collect good quality unwanted clothes, paired shoes, bed linen, bags, toys etc. on the LAST SATURDAY of every month from 7pm-7.45pm in the GAA clubhouse, Murroe. Any queries contact Geraldine on 087-6722055. Please spread the word.
